Network Health to offer bundled pricing for surgeries to members utilizing NOVO Health Centers of Excellence

Appleton, WI – Network Health, the health insurance company owned by Ascension Wisconsin and Froedert Health, has partnered with NOVO Health, the Appleton-based healthcare organization representing independent provider groups.

Through the partnership, Network Health members now have access to high quality medical providers that have agreed to bundle their pricing for surgical procedures, which results in a single bill for an entire episode of care with a price point known up front.

Network Health members opting to utilize NOVO Health services also receive a limited warranty and travel bundle options that include transportation, lodging, and meals.

“Our partnership offers Network members access to trusted providers and facilities they are already familiar with,” said Curt Kubiak, CEO of NOVO. “If you have Network Health insurance through your employer, you have immediate access to the NOVO program.”

Coreen Dicus-Johnson, CEO of Network Health, appreciates the relationship with NOVO and acknowledges the similarities between the two groups.

“We are both nimble entities who focus on providing better, more integrated care while reducing healthcare costs,” said Dicus-Johnson. “As local organizations that share the same goal – to support the employers in the communities we serve – Network and NOVO are a natural fit.”

Network Health provides health insurance for 136,000 individuals in Wisconsin and offers plans for both fully insured and self-insured employers.

The Network Health/NOVO Health agreement, signed in April, provides a unique alternative for employers contracting for health insurance effective as of April 2018. Employers will be able to provide their employees with improved access to high quality medical services combined with a retail patient experience, both hallmarks of the NOVO experience.

While Network Health and NOVO Health have focused on east-central and northeastern Wisconsin, both healthcare groups are building their presence in southeastern Wisconsin and across the state, providing a cost-saving insurance option to employers and patients in the region.

“Developing strategic relationships with our partners empowers employers and employees with access to high quality healthcare at a transparent cost,” said Kubiak. “NOVO’s partnership with Network will provide its members with more options for affordable care.”
